Prototype explanation
The following biomass data story summarises the possibilities of the ICT-BIOCHAIN platform. It shows an
indicative of the full functionalities of the models. The region of Andalusia data model looks at
biomass from olive, horticulture and algae, while the model for South-East Ireland uses lignocellulose,
horticulture and manures.
The biomass data story that follows, provides a first approach of the possibilities of the developed
models for the two demonstrator regions, Andalusia and South-East Ireland, to identify the material
arisings and characterising them for their biorefining potential.
The charts below show the arising of several materials in the counties/provinces of each region. You can
select and deselect regions and counties/provinces as it is done in the complete models.
Please note that the data you can see here are based on the biomass data models created within the
project, moving over a stacked bar, the arising of the material will be shown.
Besides the materials arising chart, there are two options. First, you can get an example where the
distribution of proteins by means of heatmaps either for Ireland or Andalusia are shown. Second, if you
want to obtain more support and information, please contact the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) directly
which will be able to answer questions to your specific needs and requests and also provide further
information regarding biomass data in both demonstrator regions.
